Robert "Bob" Folley, 67, of Fairmount, IN, and having family members in Van Buren, IN, died Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, at Marion Central Hospital, Marion.
Mr. Folley had been employed by Foster-Forbes Glass Company as a machine operator for 36 years, retiring in 1998. He attended Grant Methodist Church. He coached softball for Wes Del High School from 1995 to 2001. He attended Fairmount High School and was a veteran of the United States Marines.
He was born Aug. 30 1942, in Marion to John M. Folley and Ethlyn Stickle Chapin.
Survivors include four daughters, Vicki (Randal) McCartney, of Hammond; Laurie Irwin, of Fort Myers, FL; Lesley (Brandon) Jones, of Van Buren; and April (Brett) Moon, of Fort Wayne; two sons, Scott Folley and Jack Folley, of Muncie; two sisters, Elnora (Robert) McNutt, of Jonesboro, and Clara Vetor, of Fairmount; a brother, Raymond Folley, of Macy; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Calling is Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Armes-Hunt Funeral Home, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount. A service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, at 10 a.m., with Rev. Mark Deisler officiating. Burial will be at Park Cemetery, Fairmount.
Preferred memorials are gifts to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of the funeral home.
