Estel E. Harman, 88, of LaFontaine, IN, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, at the Wabash County Hospital.

Mr. Harman graduated from Gilead High School and was a member of Hannah Masonic Lodge 61, of Wabash.

He was born Feb. 9, 1921, in Wabash County to George and Dessie (Flora) Harman. He married Gloria G. Wilson on April 21, 1946, in North Manchester. His wife preceded him in death on July 2, 2009.

Survivors include a son, Dallas E. (Luann) Harman, of Peru; a daughter, Carol (John) Smith, of LaFontaine; a sister, Wilma Yocum, of South Bend; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service was held at Friends Cemetery, with Rev. David Phillips officiating.
