Viola Gressley, 93, of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010, at Parkview Huntington Hospital.

Mrs. Gressley had been employed by Schacht Rubber Co. and Huntington Electric, both in Huntington. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Mary's Circle and the Kum Join Us class. She graduated from South Whitley High School in 1935.

She was born Feb. 8, 1916, in Elkhart to James and Ada Baumgardner Biddle. She married Ora Gressley on June 6, 1937. Her husband survives.

Additional survivors include three sons, Larry (Teresa) Gressley, of Wabash, and Ronald (Phyllis) Gressley and Robert "Bob" (Karen) Gressley, both of Huntington; two sisters, Doris Hickman, of Elkhart, and Etta Mae Labelle, of Sunnyvale, CA; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Calling is Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., with a service following at 2 p.m., at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington. Rev. Russell Buzzard and Rev. Richard Bunnell will officiate. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Huntington County.
