Hurleen B. Blumenthal, 81, of Fort Wayne, IN, and a native of Huntington, IN, died Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, at her home.

Mrs. Blumenthal was the co-owner of C&H Shoes. She was past president of B'Nai Brith Women and a member of Achduth Vesholom Congregation.

She was born June 9, 1928, in Huntington. She married Bernard C. "Bunny" Blumenthal, who survives.

Additional survivors include four daughters, Sandra (Steven) Becktell, of Fort Wayne; Dana (Robert) Knapp, of Elkhart; Susan (Randy) Blumenthal Tracy, of Fort Wayne; and Janet Blumenthal, of Gilbert, AZ; a sister, Shirlee Schecter, of Quincy, IL; and five grandchildren, Justin, Tessa, Joseph, Christa and Iyla.

A service was held Monday, Jan. 25, 2010 at the Bohn Chapel of Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne, with burial following at Lindenwood Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are gifts to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana, Heartland Hospice or Achduth Vesholom Congregation.
