James F. 'Jim' Marshall

James F. “Jim” Marshall, 74, of Huntington, IN, died Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, at 4:20 p.m. at OakBrook Village, in Huntington.

Mr. Marshall graduated from Liberty Center High School in 1960 and served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1962. He worked as a machinist at Dana Corporation for 34 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689, a life member of the American Legion and a member of Moose Lodge 837.

He was born Jan. 1, 1942, in Portland to Issac and Beulah Carroll Marshall. He married Kathy Sue Russo in March of 1986 in Knoxville, TN, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 7, 1990.

Survivors include four sons, Jeff (Melinda A.) Marshall, of Andrews; Michael (Kelly) Marshall, of Huntsville, AL; Tracy (Cara) Marshall, of Roanoke; and Terry Marshall, of Madison, AL; a daughter, Melinda S. (Troy) Rethlake, of Huntington; a brother, Don (Del) Marshall, of Markle; a sister, Roberta Myers, of Elwood; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, in Huntington. Military honors will be conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689 at the funeral home immediately following calling. Interment will be at a later date at Markle Cemetery.
