Frances E. Wasmuth, 87, of Huntington, IN, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, at 1:15 p.m. at Oakbrook Village.
Mrs. Wasmuth graduated in 1940 from Huntington High School and was a member of the Etna Avenue Wesleyan Church. She was a homemaker and had also been employed by Kitchen Maid, Schacht Rubber Company, Triad-Utrad and Cloverleaf Creamery.
She was born March 13, 1922, in Huntington County to Walter and Margaret Stettler Pollock. She married John Paul Wasmuth on Feb. 23, 1947. Her husband preceded her in death on Feb. 7, 2002.
Survivors include a son, John P. (Jane) Wasmuth Jr., of Fishers; two daughters, Joan Phillips and Betty (Dennis) Hohensee, both of Huntington; eight grandchildren, Diana Clark, of Syracuse; Mark Wasmuth, of Indianapolis; Chad Phillips, of Roanoke; and Jimmy Phillips, Heidi Jacquay, Thomas Babb, Dustin Babb and Kenneth Babb, all of Huntington; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Calling is Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington. A service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, at 2 p.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Rev. Jeff Carrell will officiate. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Huntington.
