William R. Clanin, 84, of Bluffton, IN, and having ties to Huntington, IN, died Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, at 1:05 p.m. at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Mr. Clanin was retired form the Red Cross, and also worked at Modern Mill Co.
He was born Nov. 22, 1925, in Bluffton to Russell and Mary (Brown) Clanin. He married Norma Jean Wamsley on Oct. 11, 1952 in Huntington. She preceded him in death on Feb. 23, 1987.
Surviving are a son, Kent (Penny) Clanin, of DeRay Beach, FL; a daughter, Kim (Hugh) Crouse, of Bluffton; a brother, Gene (Joan) Clanin, of Bluffton; and five sisters, Helen (Frank) Adams, of Texas; Janet (Robert) Pinkerton, of Arkansas; and Joyce Clanin, LaLonnie (John) Hacha and Nancy Bailey, all of Bluffton.
A funeral service was held MOnday, Feb. 1, 2010, at Goodwin Memorial Chapel, Blufton.
