Ellen L. Hubbard Adamson

Ellen L. Hubbard Adamson, 86, of Marion, IN, died Friday, April 1, 2016, at 5:58 a.m. at Heritage Pointe in Warren, IN.

Mrs. Adamson spent her early years in Colorado. She made Marion her permanent residence in 1957.  She was a dental hygienist, working at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Marion for 35 years and previously with Gorman Center for Orthodontics and First Federal Savings, both in Marion. She was a member of Lakeview Wesleyan Church in Marion, a Master Gardener and an annual campaign poll worker

She was born in 1930 in Hamilton, OH, to Elbert L. and Emma C. Waite Betscher Jessup. She married Dwight "Whitey" Adamson on May 27, 1973, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 2012.

Survivors include a son, Robert "Darrell" Hubbard, of Gas City; two daughters, Karen Hall, of Hartford City, and Elaine Laux, of North Webster; five grandchildren, April (Roger) Dickey, of Gas City; Aaron Hall and Megan (Justin) Swift, both of Hartford City; Paul (Randee) Laux, of Goshen; and Allison (Kevin) Hurley, of Lebanon, OH; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Tuesday, April 5, 2016, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Jim Sonnefield officiating. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park in Marion.
