Wilma J. Laws, 69, of Marion, IN, and having family members in Warren, IN, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at her home.
Mrs. Laws was a homemaker and had lived in the Marion area for more than 40 years.
She was born Jan. 1, 1941, in Newport, TN, to Chess W. and Nola Mae Russell Strange. She married James E. Laws on Sept. 7, 1961. Her husband survives.
Additional survivors include a son, O. Allen (Cheryl) Laws, of Warren; three daughters, Charmie (Carl) Irick, of Madisonville, TN; Theresa L. (Rick) Randolph, of Marion; and Phyllis D. (Leo) Sims, of Fairmount; two brothers, Orville (Irene) Strange, of Talbott, TN, and Michael (Maggie) Strange, of Newport, TN; three sisters, Judy (Gary) Taylor and Charlotte Collier, both of Newport, TN, and Rita (Eric) Lackey, of Sevierville, TN; and five grandchildren, Bryan Swisher, Kristen Swisher, Joshua Laws, Justin Laws and Jessica Laws.
Calling is Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Marion Chapel, 2722 S. Washington St., Marion. A service will be held Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. O. Allen Laws and Rev. Ron Forsythe will officiate. Burial will be at Estates of Serenity Cemetery, Marion.
