Barbara Nadine Soper Aufdenkampe, 83, of Huntington, IN, died Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at 7:17 a.m. at Parkview Huntington Hospital.

Mrs. Aufdenkampe graduated from Huntington High School in 1944. She retired after 10 years of service working for First National Bank of Huntington from 1978 to 1988. She also worked for McCombs Hallmark Store from 1970 to 1978.

She was born Feb. 7, 1926, in Huntington to Carl and Erma Hart Martin. She married Horace Soper on Dec. 8, 1945, and he preceded her in death on May 15, 1967. She then married Robert Aufdenkampe on Sept. 29, 1990, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 1995.

Survivors include a son, Daniel L. Soper, of Huntington; a daughter, Shari (Daniel) Bracht, of Huntington; a sister, Carlene (Wayne) Beemler, of Bear, DE; and three grandchildren.

Calling is Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A funeral service will be Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at 10 a.m. at the mortuary, with Rev. Greg Hiatt officiating. Burial will be in the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Huntington.
