Julie J. Kissinger

Julie J. Kissinger, 73, of Columbia City, IN, and having family members in Markle, IN, died Friday, April 29, 2016, at 5:39 a.m. at her home.

Mrs. Kissinger and her husband owned and operated Kissinger Electric. She was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, Columbia City.

She was born Nov. 19, 1942, to Gene and Sally Wunder Quinn. She married James “Tarz” Kissinger on April 10, 1958, in the rectory of St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, Columbia City. He preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 2012.

Survivors include three sons, Joseph Robert (Amy) Kissinger, of Markle; Jeffery James (David) Kissinger, of Jersey City, NJ; and Jonathan Scott (Deanna) Kissinger, of Columbia City; two daughters, Jennifer Lou (Mark) Hinkel, of Fort Wayne; and Julie Ann (Brent) Robinson, of North Webster; two sisters, Susan (Eron) Cooper, of Dubach, LA, and Dawn (Harold) Shannon, of Fort Wayne; a brother, Gene (Karen) Quinn, of Fort Wayne; a sister-in-law, Peggy Defeo, of Omaha, AR; and eight grandchildren, Cruz Garcia, Derek Kissinger, Megan Kissinger, Brittany Robinson, Breanna Robinson, Brady Robinson, Conner Garcia and Carissa Garcia.

Calling is Tuesday, May 3, 2016, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. A service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at 11 a.m. Burial will be at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Cemetery, in Greenhill, at a later date.
