Robert E. Charles

Robert E. Charles, 90, of Marion, IN, and a native of Andrews, IN, died Thursday, May 12, 2016, at his home.

Mr. Charles served in World War II with the United States Army. He was a farmer and had also worked at Anaconda for 25 years and as a truck driver for Morgan Drive Away for 20 years. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, in Marion, and the American Legion, in Van Buren.

He was born July 30, 1925, in Andrews to Homer and Eva Kirby Charles. He married Paulette Jeangeorges on Dec. 4, 1944, and she survives.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Dylett Boyer, of Warren; four grandchildren, Andrea Hahn, Tiger Seadler, Nikki Beer and Stephanie Vickrey; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass was held on Monday, May 16, 2016, at St. Paul Catholic Church, in Marion, with Rev. Richard Weisenberger officiating. Burial was at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Huntington County.

Raven-Choate Funeral Home, Marion, was in charge of arrangements.
