Clarence E. Bell

Clarence E. Bell, 87, of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Tipton Place, in Huntington.

Mr. Bell was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the 101st Airborne Division during the Korean War. He retired in 1994 from MacAllister Machinery, Fort Wayne, where he had worked in the truck engine department for 11 years. He had previously worked at Thermtron Products, in Fort Wayne, for 14 years and at Crew’s Motors, in Huntington, for 17 years. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, in Huntington.

He was born June 8, 1928, in Hartford City to Tom and Orpha Jones Bell. He married Barbara A. Frewer on April 13, 1952, in Huntington, and she survives.

Additional survivors include a son, Steven (Jane) Bell, of Huntington; a daughter, Susan Ann (Charles) Denbo, of Huntington; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Calling is Monday, May 23, 2016, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Evangelical United Methodist Church, 1000 Flaxmill Rd., Huntington. A service will be held at the church on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at 10 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Rev. Richard Bunnell will officiate. Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, in Huntington.
