Bonnie W. Ritenour

Bonnie W. Ritenour, 80, of North Manchester, IN, and a native of Huntington County, IN, died Sunday, June 5, 2016, at 8:05 a.m. at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester.

Mrs. Ritenour had worked for General Telephone as an operator and later held multiple positions with United/Sprint Telephone, where she retired in 2011. She was a member of Walnut Creek United Methodist Church, where she had helped in the nursery and taught Sunday school. She was a volunteer for several organizations, including Washington Elementary School. She graduated from Chester Township High School in 1953.

She was born July 1, 1935, in Huntington County to Garl and Opal Forster Wiley. She married Herman A. Ritenour on May 16, 1954, in Columbia City, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 2016.

Survivors include a son, Rodney (Anne) Ritenour, of North Manchester; a brother, Ronald (Bonnie) Wiley, of Urbana; a sister, Patricia Floor, of Cedar City, UT; five grandchildren, Anthony (Crystal) Ritenour, of Louisville, KY; Michael Ritenour, of Wabash; and Troy (Rhonda) Custer, Todd (Heather) Custer and Angela Custer, all of North Manchester; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A service was held on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Rev. Steve Ailes officiating. Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery.
