David L. Flora

David L. Flora, 74, of Huntington, IN, died Friday, June 10, 2016, at 8:38 p.m. at The Heritage of Huntington.

Mr. Flora graduated from Clear Creek High School in 1961 and later from DeVry Technical Institute, in Chicago, IL. He worked for more than 40 years in the electronics industry, including at Memcor, Magnavox and Raytheon where he retired in 2001. He served in the Army National Guard and was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

He was born Sept. 1, 1941, in Huntington to James and Berniece Eisenhauer Flora. He married Patricia R. Elzey on May 8, 1965, at St. Mary Catholic Church, and she survives.

Additional survivors include three daughters, Amy (Steven) Thomas, Dawn (Dennis) Kerlin and Janae (Joe) Belovich, all of Huntington; and seven grandchildren, Ryan Thomas, Darin Thomas, Sarrah Kerlin, Rebeccah Kerlin, Julianna Kerlin, Joseph Belovich and James Belovich.

A service will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at 11 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel. Rev. Gary Dilley will officiate. Additional calling is on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will hold a private graveside service.
