Dorothy E. Thompson Stolte

Dorothy E. Thompson Stolte, 79, of Bluffton, IN, and a former resident of Fort Wayne, IN, died Sunday, June 19, 2016, at River Terrace Retirement Community, in Bluffton.

Mrs. Stolte was a 1954 graduate of Cedar Lake Academy, in Michigan. She was a homemaker and was raised as a Seventh-day Adventist.

She was born Oct. 21, 1936, in Wells County to Harold and Florence Barker Jones. She was preceded in death by her former husband, David E. Thompson. She married Richard M. Stolte Sr. in November 1981, and he survives.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Denise (Harry) Mosure and Deidre (Steve) Licht, both of Bluffton; a son, Dwight (Mirtha) Thompson, of New Mexico; a stepson, Richard Stolte Jr., of Monroeville; three stepdaughters, Ellen (Jim) Aldridge, of Fort Wayne; Cheryl Ann LaRue, of Arkansas; and Elly May Farmer, of Texas; two half-brothers, Mike Jones, of Florida, and Phillip Jones, of New Mexico; three half-sisters, Dianne Wafford and Sue Hinkle, both of New Mexico, and Linda (Dick) Bricker, of Bluffton; nine grandchildren, Andy J. Mosure, D. Adam Mosure, Donny C. Mosure, Cory D. McKeone, Celia E. Licht, Casey E. (Chad) Eppard, Liberty Thompson, Indiana Thompson and Celestial (Brandon) Dickey; six great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and four stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

Calling is Thursday, June 23, 2016, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St., Markle. A service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 24, 2016, at 10 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, with Rev. Greg Comp officiating. Interment will be at Mossburg Cemetery, in Liberty Center.
