Earl A. Coolman Sr.

Earl Allen Coolman Sr., 77, of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, June 30, 2016, at 5:30 a.m. at his residence.

Mr. Coolman served in the United States Army as a surgeon’s assistant. He worked as a tool and die maker for Crown, Cork and Seal in Omaha, NE, for 36 years and retired from there in 1999. He also worked at Walmart in Huntington for seven years. He was a member of Northwest Community of Christ’s Church, Omaha, NE, where he served in several priesthood offices. He also attended Zion United Methodist Church, Huntington. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists Aerospace Workers for 35 years, and served in the Local Lodge 31, Omaha, NE.

He was born Nov. 30, 1938, in Omaha, NE, to Earl Alfred and Ingeborg Hansane Jensen Coolman. His first marriage was to Becky A. Black. She preceded him in death on Feb. 22, 1998. His second marriage was to Rosalie C. Boyer Buzzard on Feb. 13, 1999. She survives in Huntington.
 
Additional survivors include a son, Earl Allen (Cindy) Coolman Jr., of Hinesville, GA; four daughters, Sherry (Bill) Montalbano, of Omaha, NE, and Sherry (Carl) Pierson, Sally Shivley and Amy Bickel, all of Huntington; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Zion United Methodist Church, 6276 N. Old Fort Wayne Rd., Huntington. Burial will be at a later date at Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery, Omaha, NE.
