Joan Davis

Joan Davis, 80, of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, July 21, 2016, at the Visiting Nurse Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Davis was self-employed for 15 years at Davis Bait & Tackle in Mt. Etna and also as a home health care provider. She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church, in Huntington.

She was born May 1, 1936, in Dresden, TN, to Benjamin and Mary Montgomery Ford. She married Edward Davis, and he preceded her in death on March 8, 1983.

Survivors include three daughters, Sandy L. (Cliff Falcone) Hoffman and Mary E. (Rick) Denman, both of Huntington, and Della D. (Richard) Conley, of Berea, KY; two brothers, Bobby (Margie) Ford, of Paris, TN, and Jack Ford, of Dresden, TN; three sisters, Shirley (Bobby) Bradberry, of Dresden, TN; Patsy (Bob) Boldog, of Palatine, IL; and Judy (Sal) LaCavera, of Hanover Park, IL; 17 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Calling is Sunday, July 24, 2016, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, in Huntington. A service will be held at the funeral home on Monday July 25, 2016, at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Lancaster Cemetery.
