Bonnie A. Warner

Bonnie Alice Warner, 88, of Columbia City, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016, at 6:01 p.m.

Mrs. Warner completed her education at South Whitley High School. She worked at Marshall Middle School as head cook for 10 years, retiring in 1975 to spend winter months in Texas and travel during the summer.

She was born Nov. 27, 1927, in Churubusco to Clarence Earl and Ethel Marie Harshman Sailor. She married Jimmie George Warner on Nov. 1, 1946, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 8, 2015.

Survivors include two daughters, JoAnn Branning, of Columbia City, and Debra (Thom) Frantz, of Terre Haute; a son, Dennis (Lori) Warner, of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren, Angela (Bill) Kendall and Heidi Branning, both of Columbia City; Amy (Ben) Shelton and Jessica (Zach) Matuska, both of Fort Wayne; Amanda (Jarrod) Enyeart, of Huntington; Adam Frantz, of Terre Haute; Mark Frantz, of Wabash; and Brian Warner, of New Haven; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. A service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at South Whitley Cemetery.
