Louise A. 'Betty' Henly

Louise A. "Betty" Henly, 84, of Huntington, IN, died Monday, Feb. 15, 2010, at 11:50 a.m. at Norwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Huntington.

Mrs. Henly was a 1943 graduate of Whitmer High School in Toledo, OH. She was a homemaker. She regularly attended Charity Baptist Church.

She was born Nov. 6, 1925, in Pioneer, OH, to Daniel E. and Rosa Oyer Slagle. She married Sterling R. "Stu" Henly on June 24, 1946, in Trilby, OH. He preceded her in death on July 3, 2003.

Surviving are a son, Ronald (Virginia) Henly, of Brooksville, FL; three daughters, Sharon Burley and Carol (Ed) Holmes, both of Huntington and Barbara (Brian) Waikel, of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren; one stepgrandson; six great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandsons.

Calling is Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington. A service will be held on Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Wally Morris officiating. Entombment will take place at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Huntington County.
