Leon K. Thomas

Leon K. Thomas, 77, of Centennial, CO, and a former Huntington County resident, died Friday, Sept. 9, 2016.

Mr. Thomas graduated from Lancaster High School in 1957. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, retiring as a senior chief petty officer after 21 years of service. He moved to Littleton, CO, in 1974 and graduated from the University of Colorado in 1981. He retired a second time from The Associates Financial Service, where he had worked for 20 years, and later worked part time for the Colorado Rockies for 16 years.

He was born Jan. 9, 1939, near Huntington to Keith and Mary Thomas. He married Suzanne “Marlene” Kocher in 1963 at Forest Lawn Chapel, in Cypress, CA, and she survives.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Veronica (Glenn) Berry, of Elizabeth, CO; a son, Scott (Laurie) Thomas, of Plantsville, CT; a brother, Leonard (Vickye) Thomas, of Dayton, TN; and three grandchildren, Alex Thomas, Olivia Thomas and Ben Thomas, all of Plantsville, CT.

A service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Valley View Christian Church, in Littleton, CO.
