Maurice D. 'Jim' Caley

Maurice D. “Jim” Caley, 90, of Zanesville, IN, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017.

Mr. Caley served in the United States Navy as a Seabee during World War II. He was owner and operator of Caley Construction. He was a lifelong resident of Zanesville and was a member of the Zanesville Church of God.

He was born July 12, 1926, to Grover and Minnie Siebold Caley. His first marriage was to Nyda Jean Schoulstrate, who preceded him in death. His second marriage was to Joy Louise Mendenhall, who also preceded him in death.

Survivors include a daughter, Connie (James) Bowman; a son, David (Jean) Caley; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Calling is Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 W. Mill St., Ossian. A service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, at 2 p.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at Zanesville Church of God, 11972 Marzane Rd., Zanesville. Burial will be at Hoverstock Cemetery, in Zanesville.
