Hilda L. Dugger

Hilda L. Dugger, 100, of Fort Wayne, IN, and a native of Huntington, IN, died Friday, Jan. 6, 2017.

Mrs. Dugger graduated from Huntington High School. She worked as a waitress at the Keenan Hotel and the Berghoff Gardens, worked at General Electric and owned and operated a beauty shop in her home until 1967. She attended Faith United Methodist Church, in Fort Wayne, and was a member of Eastern Star, White Shrine of Jerusalem and Daughters of the Nile.

She was born Dec. 13, 1916, in Huntington to James Hugh and Laura Ann Robinson Galliher. She married Harold E. Hiatt in 1938, and he preceded her in death. She married Thomas J. Dugger in 1967, and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, David A. (Ellen) Hiatt; three grandchildren, Andrew Hiatt and Chad (Tiffany) Hiatt, both of Fort Wayne, and Laura (Noah) Klima, of Joliet, IL; and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Dugger donated her body to the Indiana University School of Medicine. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.

Memorial gifts may be made to Faith United Methodist Church or Parkview Hospice.
