Patrick J. Mader

Patrick James Mader, 55, of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, at 1:57 p.m. at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Mr. Mader graduated from C.M. Russell High School in 1979 and earned a bachelor’s degree from Northern Montana College. He was an autism specialist and a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and Northern Alumni Association.

He was born Feb. 6, 1961, in Great Falls, MT, to Benjamin and Agnes Richter Mader. He married Laurie Harrell on July 13, 2013, in Havre, MT, and she survives.

Additional survivors include five sons, Benjamin (Lindsey) Mader, Colby (Kelsie) Mader and Nicholas Mader, all of Havre, MT; Christopher (Irene) Harrell, of California; and Zachary Harrell, of Huntington; five daughters, Kendra (Joshua) Mader and Ashley Mader, both of Arizona; Stacy Harrell, of Albion; Rene Harrell, of Andrews; and Annie Rose Harrell, of Huntington; a brother, Calvin Mader, of Tennessee; two sisters, Debbie Kirby, of Great Falls, MT, and Cindy (Brian) McCrea, of Washington; and nine grandchildren.

A private service will be held at a later date.
