Emma Louise Williams, 102, of Heritage Pointe, Warren, died March 3, 2010, at the home.

Mrs. Williams was a graduate of Jefferson High School. She and her husband owned and operated the Gamble Hardware in Warren from 1943 to 1968. She was a member of Chautauqua Club, Tri Kappa, Eastern Star Chapter 75 and was the first mother advisor of the Order of Rainbow For Girls, Warren. She was a member of the United Church of Christ. After moving to Heritage Pointe in 1991, she became involved in many of the activities at the home including serving on the Resident Council.

She was born in Jefferson Township, Huntington County, to Chester and Orpha Smith Holmes. She married Earl V. Williams on May 6, 1932. He preceded her in death in 1970.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Gene (Janet) Brauchla, of Marion; a son, Dr. David (Linda) Williams, of Southern Pines, NC; a brother, Maurice (Janet) Holmes, of Warren; a sister, Dottie (Bill) Mann, of Ossian; and seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Fred) Chase, of Shelbyville; Julie (Kenny) Summers, of Fountaintown; Joyce (Paul) Brock, of San Tan, AZ; Jane (Keith) Brauchla-Mooneyhan, of Fort Wayne; Jeanann (Marvin) Boswell, of Kokomo; Elizabeth (Matt) Giri, of Pinehurst, NC; Jon (Tina) Williams, of Rocky Mount, NC; and Susan Williams, of New York, NY; 11 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.

Calling is Friday, March 5, 2010, from 11 a.m. until the 3 p.m. funeral service Applegate Chapel, Heritage Pointe, with Rev. Scott Nedberg officiating. Burial will be at the Masonic Cemetery in Warren.

Memorials may be made to the United Church of Christ or the Pulse Opera House.
