Marian Garner Dadd, 96, a reisdnt of Heritage Pointe, in Warren, IN, died March 2, 2010, at Lutheran Hospital Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Dadd graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1936. Prior to moving to Warren in 1995, she and her husband resided in Bay Village, OH, a suburb of Cleveland. They were active members of the Bay United Methodist Church.
She was born Jan. 1, 1914, at Lorain, OH. She married Melvin W. Dadd of Perry, NY. He preceded her in death in 1997.
A memorial services will be Saturday, March 6, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. in the Applegate Chapel at Heritage Pointe, with calling starting one hour earlier.
Surviving are two daughters, Midge Decker, of Huntington, and Mrs. John (Barbara) Shafferof Stanwood, WA; a son, Alan (Carol) Dadd, of Flowery Brauch, GA;
four grandchildren, Christopher Dadd, of Herndon, VA; Kathleen Cahill, of Alexandria, VA; J.R. (Terry) Decker, of Indianapolis; and Bradley Decker, of Olympia, WA; and two great-granddaughters, Mikaeli Decker and Mackenzie Decker, both of Olympia.
Preferred memorials are to the library of Heritage Pointe, 801 Huntington Ave., Warren, or the Huntington County Community Foundation, Dadd Decker Fund for the benefit of Pathfinder Services, PO Box 5037, Huntington, IN 46750.
