Sharon L. Zernack

Sharon Lee Zernack, 86, of Wabash, IN, and having family members in Andrews, IN, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017, at 12:31 p.m. at her home.

Mrs. Zernack was a 1948 graduate of Aurora High School. She was a member of New Connections Church and volunteered with the American Red Cross.

She was born Feb. 15, 1930, in Dearborn County to Floyd and Gladys Johnson Miller. She married Richard I. “Dick” Zernack on June 17, 1950, in Aurora, and he preceded her in death on July 8, 2008.

Survivors include two sons, Tim (Beth) Zernack, of Lafayette, and Jeff Zernack, of Wabash; a daughter, Lori (Kevin) Blinkerd, of Andrews; seven grandchildren, Allison Zernack, of Farmington Hills, MI; Aaron (Sarah Casto) Zenack, of Lafayette; Jordan (Rachel) Blinkerd, of Columbia City; Joel (Rachel) Blinkerd, of Bradenton, FL; and Ethan Blinkerd, Chloe Blinkerd and Caitlyn Blinkerd, all of Andrews; and a great-grandson.

Calling is Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash. A service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, at 2 p.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Rev. Tristan Heyde and Rev. Steve Eckart will officiate. Burial will be at Falls Cemetery, Wabash.
