Paul A. Moore, 88, a former resident of St. Joe, IN, died Thursday evening, March 4, 2010, at Heritage Pointe in Warren, IN.

Mr. Moore retired from Dana Corp. in 1987 after 36 years as a truck repairman. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of St. Joe Church of Christ and the Auburn American Legion and was a former member of the St. Joe Lions Club.

He was born Oct. 12, 1921, in Hicksville, OH, to Enos C. and Lola B. Elliott Moore. He married Leila Mae Hurni on Oct. 23, 1948, in St. Joe; she preceded him in death on Jan. 9, 1999. He married Lola K. Tyner Brubaker on Dec. 19, 1999, at the Loon Creek Church of the Brethren in Huntington; she survives in Huntington.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Rowena (Dan) Edquid, of Fort Wayne, and Janelle (David) Baggett, of Spring, TX; three stepsons, Deloss Bruabaker, of Atlanta, GA; Darwin "Ike" (Mary Beth) Brubaker, of Boswell; and Dennis (Janell) Brubaker, of Huntington; a brother, Ted (Phyllis) Moore, of Mt. Dora, FL; four grandchildren, Carrie (Matt) Billings, Kristen Edquid, Travis (Meridale) Baggett and Britney (Erik) Heim; six stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.

Calling is Sunday, March 7, 2010, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the St. Joe Church of Christ in St. Joe. A service will be held at the church on Monday, March 8, 2010, at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, St. Joe.
