Lois J. Stetzel

Lois J. Stetzel, 87, of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, at 3:08 a.m. at Parkview Huntington Hospital.

Mrs. Stetzel graduated from Huntington Township High School in 1948. She retired from Friction Materials, where she had worked for 35 years as a machine operator. She was a member of the Huntington First Church of the Nazarene and Huntington Moose Lodge 837. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689.

She was born Oct. 24, 1929, in Huntington to Ralph C. and Edith Marie Lengel Holley. She married Fred A. Stetzel on Dec. 24, 1948, in Huntington, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 19, 2015.

Survivors include two sons, Darl E. (Fabiola) Stetzel, of Lafayette, and Benjamin F. (Dianna) Stetzel II, of Roanoke; a daughter, Phyllis Capes, of Huntington; a sister, Patricia (Melvin) Sanders, of McAllen, TX; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, from 10 a.m. to noon, with a service following at noon, at Bailey-Love Mortuary, in Huntington. Mike Duggan will officiate. Those unable to attend may view the service on the Bailey-Love Mortuary channel at www.livestream.com. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, in Huntington County.
