Scott Douglas Sanders, 50, of Wabash, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 10:45 p.m. at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Mr. Sanders graduated from Northfield High School in 1977 and served in the United States Air Force. He was a union plumber for Local 166.

He was born Sept. 23, 1959, in Wabash to Elmer L. and Alice L. Hampton Sanders. His mother survives in Wabash.

Also surviving are a daughter, Nicole (Jamie) Holmes, of Wabash; a son, Dustin S. (Mallory) Sanders, of Wabash; a stepdaughter, Amy (Jason) Bogart, of North Webster; two stepsons, Bradley Stidams, of Larwill, and Justin Stidams, of Huntington; two sisters, Rhonda (Mike) Kendall, of Wabash, and Suzie (Jim) Lewis, of Lagro; a brother, Lamoine Sanders, of Indianapolis; a grandson, Jared Holmes, of Wabash; and three stepgrandchildren, Lauren Bogart, Lucas Stidams and Devin Stidams, all of North Webster.

His former wife, Susan Sanders, also survives in Huntington.

Calling is Wednesday, March 10, 2010, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash. A service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 11, at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Rick Borgman officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington.
