Helen D. Ford

Helen D. Ford, 78, of Bluffton, IN, and having ties to Warren, IN, died Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at 8:20 p.m. at Signature Healthcare, in Bluffton.

Mrs. Ford had worked as a nurse’s aide at Waldon Home, in Hartford City; United Methodist Memorial Home (now Heritage Pointe), in Warren; Meadowvale (now Signature) Health Care, in Bluffton; and Bluffton Regional Medical Center. For the last 14 years of her career, she worked in private duty nursing care. She attended Bluffton Church of God.

She was born April 14, 1938, in Gordon, WV, to Edward Lee and Causby Jane Justice Pauley. She was preceded in death by her first husband Jeff B. Allen, and her second husband, Jack Ford Sr., in 2007.

Survivors include two sons, Jeff Michael (Kim) Allen, of West Virginia, and Jack (Jennifer) Ford Jr., of Ossian; a daughter, Gayla (Michael) Grove, of Liberty Center; a brother, Danny Pauley, of Arkansas; a sister, Enolia Jan Maynard, of Bluffton; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Friday, March 17, 2017, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home, in Bluffton. A service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at 10:30 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Rev. Lakeya Stewart will officiate. Burial will be at Six Mile Cemetery, in Bluffton.
