Marianne Mattox, 76, of Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at 1:10 p.m. at the Heritage of Huntington.

Mrs. Mattox was a 1951 graduate of Ovid High School in Ovid, MI. She graduated from Greenville College with a bachelor's degree in education. She attended Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Wabash.

She was born April 3, 1933, in Ovid, MI, to John and Clara Nolte Behrens. She married Jack B. Mattox on Oct. 5, 1967, in Ovid. He preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 1986.

Survivors include three sons, John T. Mattox, of Fort Wayne; Jay E. Mattox, of Merriville; and Joe A. Mattox, of Huntington; two daughters, Maria J. Rineer, of Miamisburg, OH, and Katy E. Herron, of Ontario, Canada; two brothers, Erwin Behrens, of Phoenix, AZ, and Ervie Behrens, of Ovid, MI; two sisters, Betty Heimberger, of Niles, MI, and Katy Behrens, of Ovid, MI; and six grandchildren.

Calling is Thursday, March 11, 2010, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington, Indiana. A service will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2010, at 3 p.m. at the funeral home,with Rev. Gene Vickery officiating. Interment will be at the Paw Paw Cemetery in Peru.
