Joseph H. Nash

Joseph H. Nash, 66, of Jackson Township in Wells County, IN, and formerly of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, March 23, 2017, at 11 p.m. at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.

Mr. Nash was a 1969 graduate of Southern Wells High School and served in the Indiana National Guard. He retired from International Union of Operating Engineers, where he was a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Bluffton Lodge 145 F.&A.M, and was a long-time members of the Boehmer United Methodist Church in rural Liberty Center.

He was born June 9, 1950, in Huntington, IN, to Estel Nash and Lois Shumaker Herr.  He married Kay Harshman on Aug. 20, 1977, in Bloomington, and she survives in Montpelier.

Additional survivors are three daughters, Amy (Matthew) Murphy, of Nashville, TN; Jessi (Tyler) Oatess, of Ossian; and Katy (Clint) Renner, of Bluffton; a brother, Frederick (Karen) Nash of Liberty Center; and nine grandchildren, Nash Murphy,  Quinn Murphy, Drew Francis Murphy, Mya Oatess, Macy Oatess, Bennett Oatess, Graham Renner, Reid Renner and Davis Renner.
 
Calling is Monday, March 27, 2017, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, March 28, 2017, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service of celebration, at Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren. Rev. Barry Humble will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Mossburg Cemetery in rural Liberty Center.
