Elizabeth U. "Betty" Mount, 84, of Upland, IN, and having family members in Warren, IN, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at 7:29 p.m. at Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie.

Mrs. Mount graduated from Jefferson Township High School in 1943 and worked for several years at the Upland Greenhouse. She was a 65-year member of the Hartford City Church of the Nazarene.

She was born Oct. 28, 1925, in Marion to Olen and Eva Sharp Allen. She married Russell Mount on Nov. 8, 1943, in Jonesboro. Her husband preceded her in death on Sept. 15, 2007.

Survivors include a daughter, Judy Sower, of Upland; two brothers, Olen Allen Jr. and Paul Allen; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Stan) Ervin, of Warren; Jeff Sower, of Upland; Steve Mount, of Jonesboro; and Charles Mount, of Marion; and six great-grandchildren.

A service will be held Friday, March 12, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Jones-Smith Funeral Home, Upland, with Rev. Richard Dixon and Rev. Steve High officiating. Interment was at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie.
