Danny McCoy, 57, of Peru, IN, and having ties to Bippus, IN, died Sunday, March 7, 2010, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Mr. McCoy was a graduate of Northfield High School and had worked at Ford Meter Box, Wabash, for 24 years. He was a member and director of the Frances Slocum Saddle Club and a former member and officer of A.B.A.T.E. (American Bikers Aim Toward Education).

He was born June 24, 1952, in Martin, KY, to Daniel E. and Virginia A. Hunt McCoy. His mother survives in Wabash. He married Julie Lainhart Fetz on May 8, 2004, in Bippus. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include three daughters, Angie Rutledge, of Lagro; Terri Lynn (Marcus) Dragoo, of Wabash; and Kya Rae Fetz, of Peru; two sons, Terril Fetz, of Jonesboro, and Thomas Fetz, of Peru; a brother, Terry "Pete" McCoy, of Wabash; a sister, Barbara (Dave) Music, of Roann; and four grandchildren, Jordan Dragoo, Michael Dragoo and Brittany Dragoo, all of Wabash, and Adam Rutledge, of Lagro.

A graveside service will be held Friday, March 12, 2010, at Friends Cemetery, Wabash, with Rev. Charles Easterday officiating.

Preferred memorials are gifts to Kya Rae Fetz.
