Orpha Irene Kuntz, 88, of Huntington, died Friday, March 12, 2010, at 9:20 p.m. at Miller's Merry Manor in Wabash, IN.

Mrs. Kuntz was a retired housewife and a farmer's wife. She was also a member of the Grassy Creek Baptist Church in Louisiana, MO.

She was born April 2, 1921, in Cargo, MO, to Terry and Mable Marie Smith Sanderson. She married Walter Alvin Kuntz on Dec. 2, 1939, in Bowling Green, MO. He preceded her in death on Nov. 2, 1978.

Survivors include two daughters, Ruth (Jim) Tate, of Huntington, and Marie (LeRoy) Dandridge, of New London, MO; two sons, John (Betty) Kuntz. of Frankford, MO, and Carl Kuntz of Hannibal, MO; a brother, George Sanderson, of Iowa; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Calling is Wednesday, March 17, 2010, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Grassy Creek Baptist Church, Louisiana, MO. Following the visitation, the funeral service will then be held at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Louisiana, MO.
