Donald C. Feichter, 83, of Fort Wayne, and having family members in Roanoke, died Sunday, March 14, 2010, at his home.
Mr. Feichter was a veteran of the United States Navy. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Fort Wayne, and was a volunteer for more than 20 years with various Catholic organizations.
He was born Aug. 26, 1926, in Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Ann Feichter.
Surviving are two sons, Terry (Wendy) Feichter, of Roanoke, and Tom (Jill) Feichter, of Fort Wayne; four daughters, Mary Beth Riley, Anne Feichter and Judy (Mike) Reifenberg, all of Fort Wayne, and Martha Feichter, of Indianapolis; a brother, Dean (Sandy) Feichter, of Las Vegas, NV; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Calling is Thursday, March 18, 2010, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Rd., Fort Wayne. Recitation of the rosary will be at 2:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 19, 2010, at 10:30 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd., Fort Wayne. Burial will be at Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
Preferred memorials are gifts to the church for Masses or to the Allen County Right to Life Committee.
