John M. Wagner, 62 of Warren, IN, died Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at 2:05 a.m. at Visiting Nurse and Hospice.
Mr. Wagner was a 1972 graduate of Huntington North High School and was a 1976 graduate of Huntington College. He was the owner of the Dairy Queen in Markle and worked at Sees Equipment and Supply before being hired at Huntington University, where he worked for 15 years as network administrator.
He was involved in Huntington Gideons International and was a member of Faith Community Church of God, where he taught Sunday school and served on the leadership board.
He was born Aug. 7, 1954, in Wheeling, WV, to John F. and Jean Carlson Wagner. He married Nancy Wakeland on June 3, 1977, in Idaville. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Holly Wagner, of Huntington, and Heather Wagner, of Charleston, SC; two brothers, Bud (Rosie) Wagner, of Lodi, CA, and Glenn (Terri) Wagner, of Valparaiso; two sisters, Marilyn (Paul) White, of Largo, FL, and Bev (Todd) Carpenter, of Huntington.
Calling is Friday, May 26, 2017, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel. A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 27, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Faith Community Church of God, 3615 N. Norwood Rd., Huntington. Interment will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Huntington County.
