Wallace Franklin "Wally" McDonald Sr., 71, of Hartford City, IN, and a native of Warren, IN, died Monday, March 15, 2010, at 7:10 p.m. at Blackford Community Hospital.

Mr. McDonald was retired from Sheller Globe, where he had been employed for 20 years.

He was born Feb. 22, 1939, in Warren to William E. and Hazel B. LaMotte McDonald.

Survivors include a son, Wallace Franklin (Jackie) McDonald Jr., of Hartford City; a daughter, Bridget (George Frank) Swaney, of Cannelton; a brother, Delano (Flonnie) McDonald, of Huntington; two sisters, Juanita (Paul) Miller, of Hartford City, and Zola (Kenny) Watson, of Marion; two grandchildren, Jackson Daniel Leroy McDonald and James Robert Swaney; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy McDonald, of Hartford City.

A service will be held Friday, March 18, 2010, at 11 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St., Hartford City. Rev. Allen Curtis will officiate. Cremation will follow.
