Charles Edward Sharp, 80, of Wabash, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at 10:35 a.m. at the VA Northern Indiana Healthcare Hospital in Marion.

Mr. Sharp was a member of the Christian Fellowship Church, North Manchester, and American Legion Post 15, Wabash. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He owned and operated Sharp's Antenna Service for 25 years.

He was born Aug. 12, 1929, in Crawford County, OH, to Homer and Ruth Ellen Blade Sharp. He is survived by his stepmother, Verla Doyle, of Delta, CO.

Additional survivors include two sons, Danny Ray (Joyce) Sharp, of Wabash, and Steven A. (Sulee) Sharp, of Roann; two daughters, Barbara Ellen (Garrett) Jackson, of Roann, and Sherry Renee Meyer, of Huntington; a half-sister, Charlotte Sharp, of Delta, CO; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A service will be held Saturday, March 20, 2010, at 11 a.m., with calling two hours prior to the service, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash. Rev. J.P. Freeman will officiate. Burial will be at Laketon Cemetery, Laketon.

Preferred memorials are gifts to the Veterans Administration Northern Indiana Healthcare System.
