Deborah S. Amstutz

Deborah S. Amstutz, 55, of Keystone, IN, and a native of Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN.

A lifelong resident of Wells County, Mrs. Amstutz attended Southern Wells and Bluffton High School. She had worked as a cashier at both Short Stop and Airplane Express in Bluffton.

She was born Sept. 27, 1961, in Huntington to Robert Lewis Wales and Donna Jean Slusher McFarland. She married James M. Amstutz on Feb. 17, 1997, in Fort Wayne, and he survives.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Jennifer (Joshua) Beaty of Fort Wayne; a son, William Ladig, of New Haven; a stepdaughter, Ranae Amstutz ,of Monroeville; a sister,  Jean (Jim) Brinneman, of Bluffton; two brothers, Bob Wales and James Wales, both of Chicago, IL; and eight grandchildren.

Calling is Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home, 308 W. Washington St., Bluffton. A funeral service will take place Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home, with burial following at Fairview Cemetery in Bluffton.
