Velma L. Ratliff

Velma L. Ratliff, 90, of Van Buren, IN, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2017, at 4:55 a.m. at University Nursing Center, in Upland.

Mrs. Ratliff graduated from Marion High School. She retired from RCA in Marion, where she had worked for 35 years. She was a member of Hanfield United Methodist Church and had been active in the Senagers and the United Methodist Women.

She was born July 1, 1927, in Grant County to George and Lucille Barton Clark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rexford Ratliff.

Survivors include two sons, Rex Ratliff, of Texas, and Mark (Cathy) Ratliff, of Tennessee; a daughter, Sandy Haynes, of Dillman; a daughter-in-law, Roberta Ratliff, of Upland; two brothers, Bob Clark, of Indianapolis, and Carl Clark, of Marion; 30 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Calling is Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a service following at 1 p.m., at Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home, 201 N. Main St., Van Buren. Rev. Gary Miller will officiate. Interment will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Huntington County.
