Dorothy G. Stamper

Dorothy Grace Stamper, 92, of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017, at Parkview Huntington Hospital.

Mrs. Stamper graduated from Roanoke High School in 1943. She attended First Congregational Church, in Huntington, and spent winters in Florida.

She was born July 12, 1925, in Huntington to Ervin and Elizabeth Stemmerding Cruea. She married Robert Dale Stamper on April 6, 1947, in Delphi, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 2012.

Survivors include two sons, William “Bill” (Cyndi Bishop) Stamper, of Webster, MA, and James D. “Jim” (Kathryn) Stamper, of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Karla A. Funk, of Huntington; and two grandchildren, Christina J. (Simon) Munnik, of Durbin, South Africa, and Adam (Amanda) Seeger, of Fort Wayne.

Calling is Monday, Aug. 21, 2017, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, in Huntington. A service will be held at the mortuary on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017, at 10 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Rev. Raymond Scribner will officiate. Burial will be at Lancaster Cemetery, Huntington County.
