Mark A. Lantz

Mark A. Lantz, 57, of Fort Wayne, IN, and a native of Huntington, IN, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. at his home.

Mr. Lantz was a 1978 graduate of Huntington North High School and served in the United States Army. He worked as a journeyman plumber for Redman Plumbing and Heating, in Columbia City. He competed in tae kwon do.

He was born Nov. 19, 1959, in Huntington to Ronald and Minda Vance Lantz. He married Jackie S. Herrick on Nov. 20, 1986, and she survives.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Tiffany J. (Walt) Lyons, of Tampa, FL, and Kattie A. Lantz, of Fort Wayne; a son, Tadd A. (Emily) Lantz, of Fort Wayne; four sisters, Bonita (Darrell) Newsome, of Pikeville, KY; Pat (Verlis) Hall and Andrea (Sam) Little, both of Kentucky; and Penny (Tyrone) Wilson, of Fort Wayne; a brother, Denny Lantz, of Andrews; and three grandchildren, Josh Lyons and Jason Lyons, both of Tampa, FL, and Alyvia Garrett, of Fort Wayne.

Calling is Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a service following at 2 p.m., at Bailey-Love Mortuary, in Huntington. Rev. Raymond Scribner will officiate. Military rites will be performed by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689, of Huntington Burial will be at a later date.
