Lola M. Miller

Lola Mae Miller, 79, of Marion, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017, at 9:35 p.m. at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Miller attended Van Buren High School and earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Marion College in 1975, part of the school’s first graduating class. She completed her master’s degree at Michigan State University. She was employed by the VA Medical Center, in Marion, as a registered nurse for most of her career. She had also worked in the box room at Foster-Forbes.

She and her husband maintained rental properties and owned Miller’s Concessions, traveling to numerous public events throughout Indiana.

She was born June 12, 1938, in Marion to Clay and Lottie Teal Riddle. She married Ronald Lee Miller on June 12, 1955, and he survives.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Marla Jean (Sam) Ellis, of Marion; two sons, Martin Lee (Amalia) Miller, of Huntington, and Mack Duane (Dianne) Miller, of Ossian; a sister, Roberta King; seven grandchildren, Kyla (Nate) Prows, Gabriel (Stephanie) Ellis, Joshua Miller, Brady (Whitney) Ellis, Ronald Miller, Spencer Ellis and Jarod Miller; and five great-grandchildren.

A private service was held.
