Orlin P. Doege

Orlin Paul Doege, 69, of Cromwell, IN, and a native of Roanoke, IN, died Monday, March 29, 2010, at 1:57 p.m. at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Mr. Doege graduated from Roanoke High School in 1958 and moved to Cromwell from the Fort Wayne area in 1967. He retired from General Electric in 1997 after 37 years of service. He was active in the Enchanted Hills Association and was a Boy Scout leader for more than 20 years.

He was born Jan. 10, 1941, in Roanoke to Herbert and Florence Mayberry Doege. He married Sharon J. Gibson on Feb. 23, 1963, and she survives.

Additional survivors include two sons, James (Cathy) Doege, of Greenville, SC, and William (Adrienne) Doege, of Cromwell; a daughter, Deborah (Joe) Strange, of Wesley Chapel, FL; a sister, Margaret Hinman, of Roanoke; a stepsister, Jean (Norbert) Gabet, of Syracuse; and nine grandchildren, Tyler, Alec, Amber, Ben, Sidney, Alexander, Madison, Kennedy and Andrew.

A service was held Friday, April 2, 2010, at Yeager Funeral Home, Ligonier, with Rev. Dave Bosenberg of the Cromwell United Methodist Church officiating.
