Marlin R. Goff

Marlin Richard Goff, 85, of LaFontaine, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at 10:30 p.m. at Heritage Pointe, Warren.

Mr. Goff graduated from Sweetser High School in 1942 and served with the United States Marines during World War II. He was retired from RCA, where he had worked for 33 years, and was a former dairy farmer.

He was born May 3, 1924, in Marion to Ora and Marie Carey Goff. He married Rose Mary Sachse on May 15, 1952. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include three sons, Gary (Karen) Goff, of Converse; Terry (Cathy) Goff, of London, OH; and Ted Goff, of Huntington County; a brother, Howard Goff, of Tucson, AZ; and a grandson, Brian Goff, of London, OH.

A service was held Monday, April 5, 2010, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, Marion, with Rev. Mick Wilson officiating.

Preferred memorials are gifts to Riley Children's Hospital.
