Marjorie B. Taylor

Marjorie B. Taylor, 98, of Huntington, IN, died Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, at 11:15 p.m. at Tipton Place.

Mrs. Taylor graduated from Linlawn High School, Wabash, in 1935. She had been employed by General Tire and Rubber Company, in Wabash, and The Perfection Musical Strings Company, in Cedar Lake. She bowled in women’s state and national championships for 35 years.

She was born Jan. 1, 1919, in Wabash County to Joseph R. and Clara A. Miller Garrison. She married Kenneth J. Ross on Jan. 17, 1948, in Warsaw, and he preceded her in death on May 26, 1981. She married Milford W. Taylor on Dec. 16, 1983, in Monticello, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 12, 2000.

Survivors include a daughter, Julia A. (Parks) Hamilton, of Huntington; a daughter-in-law, Juanita J. Smithee, of Montgomery, AL; a son-in-law, Duane A. Spring, of Largo, FL; a sister, Loretta (Garrison) Owens, of North Manchester; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren.

There is no calling. The family will hold a private service. Burial will be at Friends Cemetery, Wabash County, at a later date.
