Jerry Losure

Jerry Losure, 75, of Van Buren, IN, and having ties to Warren, IN, died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Mr. Losure graduated from Van Buren High School in 1960 and eared a degree in education from Ball State University in 1966. He taught industrial arts at Mississinewa Community Schools and in Van Buren before becoming a full-time farmer. A fourth generation farmer, he grew corn, wheat and soybeans and raised hogs. He was a member of the Warren Area Antique Tractor Club.

He was born April 21, 1942, in Marion to Maurice and Margaret Eldean Corey Losure. His mother survives. He married Sue Ringer on Nov. 27, 1965, and she survives.

Additional survivors include three daughters, Cindy (Dmitri) Baraban, Amy (Brent) Beebe and Katy (Mark) Brammer; and eight grandchildren, Jade Stuber, Aidan Stuber, Sophia Baraban, Nicholas Baraban, Ella Baraban, Ava Beebe, Ethan Beebe and Gavin Beebe.

Calling is Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Van Buren United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. A service will be held at the fellowship hall on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Tim Helm officiating. Burial will be at the Van Buren Cemetery.
