Denny F. Morgan

Denny F. Morgan, 71, of Geneva, IN, and having family in Huntington, IN, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, at 2:35 p.m. at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN.

Mr. Morgan worked for GE in Decatur for 21 years. He owned the Pioneer restaurant in Decatur for one year. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Geneva.  He had been a scout leader at St. Mark’s and a member of the Berne American Legion Post 468.

He was born Oct. 8, 1946, in Decatur to Clarence “Red” and Helen Sheets Morgan. He married Marian Jamieson on Feb. 20, 1993, in Decatur. She survives.

Additional survivors include five sons, Tim (Teri) Morgan, of Huntington; Ted (Dusty) Morgan, of Van Buren; Paul (Robin) Ryan, of Decatur; Chris Ryan and Shawn (Suzanne) Osborne, both of Fort Wayne; four daughters, Tanya (Derrick) Cannon and Trisha (Dusten) Shoaf, both of Decatur; Sarah Derosett, of Geneva; and Teresa Morgan, of Berne; a brother, Karl Wayne Morgan; 24 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Calling is Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 100 W. Line St., Geneva, and on Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, for one hour prior to the 11 a.m. service. Rev. Linda Jo Powers will officiate. Interment will follow in the Marion National Cemetery in Marion.

Arrangements are being handled by Downing & Glancy Funeral Home in Geneva.
